Dr. David Bunten was raised in Huntington Beach and has lived here most of his life. As a student athlete and leader, Bunten played baseball, basketball and flag football at Huntington Beach schools. He, of course, also enjoyed surfing at the local beaches.

Dr. Bunten completed his undergraduate training at UC San Diego and earned his medical degree at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and became Board Certified in Family Medicine.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Bunten realized his dream of practicing medicine in his hometown near family and friends. Today, he takes the extra time needed to provide families with the best possible health care, just as his own family doctors once did.

Dr. David Bunten is a member of the Hoag Hospital medical staff and practices locally at the Hoag Health Center in Huntington Harbour.
